Purpose
Canvassking, LLC was created to meet the demand home improvement companies have in starting or improving a canvass operation. Home improvement companies, regardless of size, experience or time in business, see the benefits of canvassing. The intention is to give all home improvement companies a roadmap for success by providing the most dynamic consulting and training services available. The function of Canvassking, LLC is to guide home improvement companies by becoming a strategic partner in developing a first class canvass operation.
History
Chris Thompson and Tony Hoty started a home improvement company in 1998 in Cleveland Ohio specializing in replacement windows, siding, doors, roofing, sunrooms and leaf protection gutters. Prior to starting the business Chris and Tony worked as canvassers and sales reps for Ohio Energy Contractors (now ImprovIt Home Remodeling) in Columbus Ohio while attending college at The Ohio State University. Upon graduation and a year working outside the industry in business to business sales, the home improvement company was started in Cleveland. As young 24 year old men they used their knowledge of canvassing to generate leads. The two looking to expand their knowledge in the industry started to attend industry conferences. They learned a lot regarding all aspects of the industry and were able to network with many other owners around the country. However, they found few companies were canvassing and the ones who were struggled with many peaks and valleys. After their second full year in business they canvassed over 2 million dollars worth of business and were asked by an industry consultant to put together a program to help other companies. That’s how Canvassking got started in consulting by offering manuals, videos and a few on-site visits. However, due to their limited time they were not able to help other companies who wanted more guidance other than a manual and video. Therefore, due to the demand for help in 2006, Chris Thompson spun off the canvass consulting separate from the home improvement business and became the CEO. Chris spends his time exclusively for consulting and training home remodeling companies in how to manage and canvass for home improvements. The consulting services and information are derived from the experiences of canvassing tens of thousands of doors, training and managing thousands of canvassers and consulting hundreds of companies.
Objective
The goal of Canvassking, LLC is to continue to be the leader in canvass consulting and training. Canvassking, LLC will continue working with every client with focus and passion. It is vital to seek an understanding of every client’s company’s culture, history and goals in order to implement a roadmap for success. Therefore the field tested and proven process can be implemented that will align with the goals of the client. The initial services will help each client break down any concerns, myths, fears and mental blocks they may have regarding canvassing. Then the consulting services next endeavor is to design the systems that will run the canvass operation. The paradigm shift of getting home improvement companies thinking systematically is the foundation of the consulting and training services at Canvassking, LLC. The aim for every client is for them to see the canvassing operation run by systems and a staff that works and manages those systems. By becoming a strategic partner with every client they will feel the personal touch geared towards their company. The client’s owners will benefit by gaining a profitable on going lead source. The client’s staff will excel by having the most proven systems to canvass and manage. The company executives, managers and canvassers will all make more money and work less. The success each client has will continue to build and word will spread. More home improvement companies will join as strategic partners with Canvassking, LLC, keeping them the leader in canvassing consulting.
